Technology
Dr. Cummins and our team continue to pursue training in the latest dental techniques so that we can bring our patients the best care. In addition, state-of-the art dental technology allows us to perform clinical procedures with greater precision and increase patient comfort. We use:
Digital Radiography
To see X-ray images of your teeth and jaws, we use safe and efficient digital radiography. Unlike traditional X-rays, digital radiography releases up to 90-percent less radiation and does not require harsh chemicals to develop the images. Our digital X-rays generate images instantaneously on chairside computer monitors, so we can share the results with you during your appointment. Not only does it improve our diagnostic capabilities, but it is healthier for our patients.

Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras relay vivid images from the inside of your mouth to chairside or ceiling-mounted computer monitors in the treatment rooms. You’ll be glad to know that an intraoral camera consists of a small, non-invasive wand to make the experience completely comfortable. These cameras allow you to more thoroughly understand your diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Laser
Lasers have been used for years in many medical disciplines and for surgical and cosmetic purposes. Soft and hard tissue lasers are rapidly becoming part of high-tech dentistry, and for good reason. Safe and effective soft tissue lasers offer incredible precision and greatly reduce recovery time associated with periodontal treatments. We also use lasers for cosmetic gum lifts, crown lengthening, and treatment of cold sores and apthous ulcers.
