Restorative

If your smile is compromised by decay, missing teeth, or unaesthetic crowns and fillings, effective solutions can restore your smile's natural beauty and function. Our contemporary restorative options correct imperfections and improve your confidence to smile. By using only the best materials and techniques, we ensure amazing results. Don’t give up on an imperfect smile – let us discuss your concerns and your treatment options.

Crowns and Porcelain Veneers
Restore extensively decayed or injured teeth with tooth-colored porcelain crowns. These permanent, custom-fabricated, porcelain restorations completely cover the compromised tooth, restoring natural appearance and function. We work with trusted laboratories to create lifelike aesthetic crowns made of porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. Crowns deliver reliable results and are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Bridges
To eliminate an unattractive space left by several missing teeth, we anchor a set of permanent teeth, called a bridge, to crowns set on each side of the space. As with individual crowns, crown and bridge systems look and function just like normal teeth and integrate flawlessly with existing dentition.

Dentures and Partials
Implant-supported dentures and partials offer a firm, superior hold and remarkable function as prosthetic teeth. We can affix full or partial dentures to titanium posts implanted within your jaw by an oral surgeon for added retention. Without the slippage risk and speech interference associated with traditional dentures, particularly in relation to the lower jaw, implant dentures are the ideal tooth replacement choice when sufficient jawbone is present in an edentulous patient.

Only patients with sufficient bone density in their jaws can receive titanium implants. We offer traditional dentures and partials in lieu of implant-supported prosthetics when indicated. Consult with us to determine the best option.

Aesthetic Fillings
Remember when getting a cavity filled resulted in a conspicuous dark spot on the surface of your tooth? Times have changed for the better. We use only composite resin to fill cavities. Composite fillings match tooth color so closely that the filling is barely noticeable. Unlike traditional amalgam fillings, composites do not contain potentially harmful heavy metals, making them the preferred choice for safe, aesthetic cavity repair. In addition, composite fillings are placed using an adhesion process that forms a strong bond with the tooth to prevent bacterial leakage around the filling.

Implant Restoration
A dental implant is a small titanium post positioned in the jaw to anchor a single crown or a bridge, partial, or denture. The procedure requires minor oral surgery for precision placement of the post. Bone tissue naturally incorporates the biocompatible titanium to create a solid anchor. After the site heals, Dr. Cummins will design a restoration for your unique case to properly restore the implants and complete your strong, solid smile.

Inlays and Onlays
If tooth decay advances beyond a small cavity, you may need an inlay or onlay to repair your compromised tooth. We use durable porcelain to fix the inner portion (inlay) or outer portion (onlay) of your tooth’s biting surface. Inlays and onlays, which closely match a tooth’s natural color, integrate extremely well with existing dental structures and offer a more conservative option than a crown.
